BIOSSIDO D’AZOTO – NO2
maggiormente pericolosi, sia perché è per sua natura irritante, and because it starts in
presence of strong sunshine, a series of photochemical reactions that lead to the formation of
pollutants such as ozone total
indicated by the term "smog".
A major contribution to pollution by nitrogen dioxide is introduced,
in the city, from high-temperature combustion of hydrocarbons, industries,
in heating and in vehicles. The amount of emissions in the latter case
may also vary depending on the characteristics of the engine and how to use the same
.
In general, the emission of oxides nitrogen, especially for nitrogen dioxide
is greater when the engine operates at high speed (arteries
urban expressways, highways, etc.).. Page 2 of 2
Damage to health
Nitrogen dioxide is a toxic gas irritates the mucous membranes, and is responsible for specific diseases affecting the respiratory
with decreases in lung defense (bronchitis,
allergies, irritation) . Nitrogen oxides contribute to acid rain formation and
promote the accumulation of nitrates in the soil that can cause deterioration of ecological environment
balances.
